This Privacy Statement (“Statement”) applies to all customers of Xinhua Finance Agency (AP) Ltd. ("XFA", "we", "us" or "our").

Please note that this Statement may be amended from time to time without prior notice. You are advised to check for the latest version on a regular basis. If there is any inconsistency or conflict between the English and Chinese versions of this Statement, the English version shall prevail. 

We are committed to safeguard the privacy of individuals with respect to your personal data. We assure that our policies and practices, and those adopted by our affiliated companies and agents in relation to the collection, use, retention, disclosure, transfer, security and access of your personal data comply with the requirements under the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Chapter 486) under the laws of Hong Kong. 

From time to time we may collect your personal data such as your name, mailing address, telephone number, email address and login name for the following purposes:

1. to process your applications, subscriptions and registration for our products and services;
2. to assist in the prevention, detection or investigation of crime or possible criminal activities or as required by law;

We may also collect your identity card number and process this as required under applicable law or regulation, for the purpose of identifying you where it is reasonable for your identity card number to be used for this purpose.

Except to the extent you have already opted out or in future opt out, we may transfer your name, mailing address, telephone number and email address to our affiliates for the purpose of enabling our affiliates to send promotional materials to you and conduct direct marketing activities in relation to their financial services and information services.

If you access our information or services through the XFA website, you should be aware that cookies are used. Cookies are data files stored on your browser. The XFA website automatically installs and uses cookies on your browser when you access it. Two kinds of cookies are used on the XFA website:
